![]() Yeah, the tactic you use should always be tailored to the situation. ![]() In that sense it's hard to beat an overwhelming E advantage against an unsuspecting opponent. I love the rope a dope myself (a trick I learned from you btw), and I agree it's more fun, but my answer was shaped by what I thought was most efficient and safe. Lord knows I still have plenty to learn in both departments. Well both tactics and discussion of maneuvers are good. ![]() With aerobatic smoke turned on.Įdit: And I just realized that I've described tactics here, not ACMs as you requested. But the ones I remember & enjoy the most are always rope-a-dopes, especially with climbing spirals & false dives & especially against multiple opponents. Then the thrill when the tables suddenly turn and you're swooping down with glee as they wallow helplessly in the sky.īut is it the most common attack I use? No, that'd be intercepting whether of the boom & zoom variety or low yoyo attacks (which are also really neat in their own way as people think they're safe until the last moment). It can also have some hair-raising moments that get the adrenaline pumping when the attacker's got more energy than you thought & is pumping lots of cannon shells in your direction while you twist around waiting & praying for their nose to drop - even more so if there's more than one attacker. It also can (not always) involve quite a bit of subtlety and patience if you're up against a clever opponent who's watching their air speeds but who won't give up & dive away. ![]() Well, personally I chose Rope a Dope on the grounds that it makes for a very easy target, which I appreciate with my old reflexes & shaky hands & lousy ping. Edit: To follow up, I'd also like to hear more about what more people think of the different ACMs and how they use them, including you long5hot. ![]()
